Black on saddle leather and manual 280S, only 50k miles . I can afford it right now, no need to sell any of the other cars. It would be a nice project but my weekend car thing I wanted to do when I sell the Citroen would no longer be viable.

I'm selling the Citroen in december, I could buy something much nicer with the money I have+ the Citroen.

Do they start?
![]() 11/04/2014 at 11:10 |

But if I wait a little longer I can buy something much cooler, because the C4 will be gone.

One of them does....

Excellent. A+ :D I see some new DS5s around here all the time and they are pretty cool.

Audi S8, Allroad or I can fulfill my lifelong dream of owning a P38 Rangie.

Thats how they get you

ALL of those being money pits. Get that 3 pointed star on the road as a daily and just save save save. Bet it doesnt even have the part that breaks the most on the 116, the Chrysler sourced auto climate control system!

But money pits are my thing, I hate reliable stuff, they lack character. And I REALLY wanted the Allroad.

you must also be into some other masochistic things as well.
BRING THE PAIN haha
This is why I sold my Peugeots and Alfas. Sick of working on them all the time

Now if there was such a thing as a convertible 280S I'd buy it this second. Alfa 164 wouldn't be a bad idea.

Are we getting closer?
in the USA this runs somewhere between 50 and 70 grand. 280SE cabriolet

Here they go for double that.
Could I do this?
![]() 11/04/2014 at 11:45 |

sure if you are handy with a sawzall and welder. And can custom fab some sort of top for it
![]() 11/04/2014 at 11:47 |

I'd have some specialist do it for me, I'm not that handy.

4 door verts are all kinds of hell to engineer, and they are always structurally sloppy

Do you have any pictures of it?!
How about a leather sunroof?
![]() 11/04/2014 at 12:00 |

oh no this was way pre potato days!
You could do a canvas sunroof, leather is not the best thing for that application at all. Webasto makes kits for alot of cars! That would be stunning

Black 280S, saddle leather, manual and canvas sunroof, I would love that. Plus I could find a wooden steering wheel, because I want driving gloves.

easy, I used to have a 300SD W116 in "English Red" and white MB tex that had a wooden wheel in his. Wish I had an interior shot!
![]() 11/04/2014 at 12:19 |

I'm convinced, I might look into doing all that. English red is an awesome color.
I was thinking this.

perfect. That is just about the same one that was in the 300SD. I put a monster stereo in it. Funny enough I bolted a saab 9-3 alternator right in to get enough amps of charging to carry it. The 60amp that came stock in the benz was way underpowered for anything but the Becker
